NODO Restaurant is hiring!
We are a casual Italian restaurant concept with 4 locations across the city of Toronto. We are in the Junction, St. Clair West, Leslieville and Liberty Village.
We are a high-volume restaurant, with a large patio and are looking to grow our team. We are hiring full-time and part-time for the following positions:
Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain proper food storage and labeling practices
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON M6K 3N6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
