Full job description
PARR Metal Fabricators is looking for an energetic, self motivated, and reliable Roller and Brake Operator to join our team in a full time capacity. This role is focused on the precision forming of structural steel and plate, requiring a worker who takes pride in manual dexterity and technical accuracy.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate rollers to form a variety of structural steel components including angle iron, channel, tubing, pipe, and plate.
- Set up and operate both CNC and manual brake presses to meet specific project requirements.
- Utilize basic metalworking tools such as tape measures (Imperial and Metric), grinders, cut off saws, band saws, and drill presses.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials throughout the shop.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure all formed parts meet tight tolerances and design standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in metal forming is a significant asset, but we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs comfortably and handle the physical demands of a structural steel environment.
- Proficiency with manual tools and a solid understanding of measurement systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions with precision.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to professional growth.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week.
- Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday, 7:00 am – 11:00 am.
- Overtime: Available as needed to meet production goals.
- Benefits: Basic benefit package included.
