Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth seating process. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest services and maintaining the overall positive experience for our patrons. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but a strong commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills are essential.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Handle reservations and manage seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings or general questions
• Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow
• Assist in managing guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy
• Support the restaurant team in maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes guest satisfaction

Experience

• Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly desirable
• Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures
• Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of hotel or restaurant environments is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required
