We are a busy interventional pain practice in Toronto seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our team. This is a part-time position (2–3 days/week) with potential to transition to full-time.
Our clinic specializes in advanced spine and pain procedures in a high-volume, procedure-focused environment. We are looking for someone confident with fluoroscopy, safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced interventional setting.
Schedule
- Part-time: 2–3 days per week
- Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- May include weekends (based on clinic needs and scheduling)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with fluoroscopy/C-arm imaging during interventional spine procedures
- Support safe, efficient patient positioning, image acquisition, and workflow during procedures
- Maintain excellent radiation safety practices (ALARA principles) and proper shielding
- Support procedure room setup, sterile field awareness, and room turnover with the clinical team
- Help maintain equipment readiness and smooth room flow in a high-throughput environment
- Communicate professionally with patients and the team; complete required documentation
Procedures May Include
- Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) and Pulsed RFA (P-RFA)
- Fluoroscopy-guided spine injections
- Epidural injections (interlaminar/transforaminal)
- Catheter-based caudal epidurals
- Ultrasound-guided procedures and comprehensive interventional spine procedures
Requirements
- Certified MRT with active registration (province-appropriate)
- Fluoroscopy experience and comfort working in a procedural setting (interventional experience strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and procedural safety
- Efficient, organized, and calm in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Professional, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
