Full job description

Progress Rail Canada is looking for an experienced signal engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible to for signal design of various freight projects and be a key point of contact with our customers and transit authorities. Job will be an in-office based position which could be in a number of different locations, including but not limited to Calgary, Edmonton, Vaughn, Burlington, Mississauga, London, Montreal and others.

Key Job Elements

  • Design wayside signal systems and highway crossing warning systems
  • Develop and review complex signal circuit designs and software
  • Perform design calculation, including headway analysis, safe braking and power draw
  • Write and review crossing controllers, and grade crossing warning devices
  • Assist in the creation of cost estimates for signal engineering, material, installation, and testing
  • P. Eng. Designation required

Pay: $135,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
