As a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Automotive Technician, you will play an important role in our Service Department by inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems and components. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will continue to develop your skills while providing high-quality workmanship and exceptional service to our customers.

A day in the life…

  • Changing, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, including fuel, brake, steering and suspension systems, cooling and climate control systems by using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing light engine performance problems.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups.
  • Must be competent with tools required for repair of all assigned jobs and able to operate lifting devices.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
  • Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives before and after repair and maintenance work.
  • Advising customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and instructions.
  • Ensures safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company objectives.

  • Competency with tools required for repair of all assigned jobs and able to operate lifting devices
  • Highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
  • Able to read technical diagrams and instructions and use diagnostic equipment
  • Demonstrates outstanding attendance with consistent punctual arrival at the workplace
  • Ensures safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors

What We Require From You…

  • Having full body mobility and the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time with hands above the head.
  • Certificate of graduation from an Apprenticeship Program at a recognized technical training institute.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a Driver's Abstract.
  • Record of Conduct.

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
