Location: Vancouver, BC (Required) & South Surrey, BC

Elysian Imaging & Diagnostics is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time work at our Vancouver clinic with the flexibility to pick up additional hours in our South Surrey location.

What You'll Do

  • Patient-Centered Care: Preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and addressing their questions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Expert Imaging: Conducting 2D, M-mode, and Doppler ultrasound studies, capturing accurate images and measurements to support diagnosis.
  • Collaboration & Education: Sharing insights through preliminary assessments, contributing to Radiology rounds, and providing education to patients, staff, and students.
  • Equipment Excellence: Ensuring ultrasound equipment is clean, well-maintained, and operational, with prompt attention to quality control issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participating in quality assurance initiatives and evaluating new equipment to keep our services at the forefront of diagnostic care.

Schedule

  • Required: Fridays at our Vancouver clinic (minimum 7.5 hours per week)
  • Opportunity for additional hours at our South Surrey clinic if required

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current registration and good standing with Sonography Canada (CRGS), and/or ARDMS (RDMS).
  • Minimum one year of post-graduate experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a clinical setting.
  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of medical sonography, patient safety, and infection prevention best practices.
  • Experience with PACS systems (RamSoft experience is considered an asset).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Professional, compassionate, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment with minimal direct supervision.
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check is required prior to employment.
