The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has 1 (one) exciting indeterminate opportunity within the Technology branch at the CATSA Headquarters.

Summary of responsibilities:
The General Manager, Program Deployment is responsible for managing and coordinating the equipment logistics and deployment programs for screening equipment at airports across Canada. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that sound management practices are in place for activities and process for equipment logistics and deployment activities. The General Manager, Program Deployment performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
-
Degree from a recognized university in a speciality relevant to the duties of the position.
-
A minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in a deployment role.
-
A minimum of five (5) years of management experience, including managing a team and providing leadership in a technical field.
-
Experience in managing large-scale deployment projects, including project design, development, and implementation.
-
Experience negotiating and tracking equipment procurement contracts, maintenance, and operational agreements.
-
Experience in financial controls (budgets).

Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.

Experience working with screening technologies.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, directives and guidelines, including those specific to Crown Corporations.

Experience in the air transportation or security industry.
Specific work requirements:

Ability to travel as required

Language Profile: CBCC;
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and

Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
