Position Overview

Waiward Construction Management Inc. is gearing up for a busy construction season, and we are currently seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our Underground Water and Sewer Division.


We are hiring for the following positions:

  • Main Hoe Operators
  • Side Hoe Operators

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform work related to underground water, sewer, and storm installations
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with trenching, pipe installation, grading, and backfilling
  • Follow directions from Supervisors and Foreman
  • Maintain a strong commitment to job site safety and company procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a crew in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in Water and Sewer construction
  • Ability to work in trenches and outdoor environments in various weather conditions
  • Knowledge of safe work procedures, including trench safety
  • Relevant tickets are considered an asset:
    • Ground Disturbance Level II
    • Confined Space
    • First Aid
  • Ability to work long hours, overtime, and weekends as required
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
