We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Receptionist to support daily financial administration and provide front-desk assistance in Barrie, Ontario. This position combines core bookkeeping duties with reception responsibilities, making it well suited to someone who is organized, approachable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate records, support routine accounting processes, and contribute to a smooth and efficient office environment.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records by processing invoices, recording transactions, and ensuring entries are entered accurately and on time.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including preparing payments, issuing invoices, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Complete regular bank and account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support month-end procedures by organizing financial data, reviewing balances, and assisting with closing activities.
- Process payroll information and help ensure employee payments are completed correctly and within required timelines.
- Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to update records, generate reports, and track financial information efficiently.
- Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy while keeping accounting and administrative files well organized.
- Provide part-time reception coverage by greeting visitors, answering calls, and directing inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Experience in bookkeeping with practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for maintaining records and preparing financial information.
- Ability to complete bank reconciliations and support month-end accounting tasks with accuracy.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to assist visitors and callers in a courteous manner.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage both financial and reception-related responsibilities effectively.
