Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Adminstrator/ Optometric Assistant to join our busy eye care practice. The ideal candidate will take pride while working directly with the optometrists to provide exceptional patient care with support in front desk operations and assist with optometric pretest patient care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, being an integral team member to ensure smooth clinic operations and ultimately improve patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk
  • Manage electronic medical records efficiently
  • Assist optometrists during eye examinations and testing procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and pretest areas
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and processing payments
  • Ensure compliance with clinic protocols

Experience

  • Prior experience in an optical/ optometric office setting preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is advantageous
  • Experience in patient care and front desk duties
