Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment across local commercial routes in full compliance with BC transportation regulations.
  • Efficiently manage local freight loading and unloading processes, including forklift operation when required.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and peak performance.
  • Navigate Lower Mainland and regional traffic efficiently using modern GPS and navigation tools.
  • Maintain clean, accurate daily delivery logs, manifests, and electronic proof-of-delivery (POD) documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with our local Surrey dispatch team and receiving clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Driver's License: Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license.
  • Experience: Commercial driving experience in BC with a clean driving abstract (N-Print).
  • Local Route Knowledge: Familiarity with Metro Vancouver ports, industrial hubs, and highway corridors.
  • Work Authorization: Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Basic routine maintenance awareness and load-securing experience; forklift capability is an asset.
