Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and caring Optometrist here at Erin Mills Optical . The candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role offers a unique opportunity for a newer Optometrist to takeover from an existing Optometrist. Optometrist will be joining Erin Mills Optical which has been serving Mississauga for over 30 years and providing comprehensive eye exams to dedicated patients. Experience in optical care, pediatrics, and senior care is highly valued. The ideal Optometrist must deliver exceptional patient care and an openness to working in a relaxed environment. Ideal position for a recently graduated Optometrist looking for a part-time position with minimum overhead.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations and vision tests to assess patients' visual acuity and eye health
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatments or interventions
  • Manage existing patient records
  • Provide care for pediatric and senior patients, tailoring approaches to meet their unique needs
  • Educate patients on eye health, proper use of eyewear, and preventive care strategies
  • Collaborate with other health professionals in referral for treatment as required

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with appropriate credentials
  • Prior experience in optical practice, pediatrics, or senior care preferred however, a willingness to learn and grow is necessary
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
  • Patient care skills with a light-hearted approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical practice in a relaxed professional environment.

Pay: $90.00-$120.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
