Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance for elders. The ideal candidate will have experience in care giving and a strong desire to improve the quality of life for those they care for. This role requires a blend of empathy, patience, and practical skills to ensure the well being of our loved ones.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining detailed care records in compliance
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed care plans and document all medication activities.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive environment for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and infection control procedures during patient interactions
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred.
- Proven background in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy standards are maintained.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with the family.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is strongly preferred; additional certifications in nursing assistance or social work are advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, respectful long-term care that promotes dignity and independence.
