Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Inspector specializing in Welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to join our dynamic team. They are responsible for performing detailed welding inspections, visual weld examinations, LPI non-destructive testing, dimensional verification, and documentation of manufactured parts and large assemblies. In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of quality control and assurance across our manufacturing processes. Your keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence will help uphold our reputation for precision and reliability in metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough welding visual inspections to identify weld discontinuities (cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, etc.).
  • Interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, GD&T requirements, and specifications with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Verify weld sizes, lengths, throat dimensions, and compliance with WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
  • Approve welded assemblies prior to production release and verify in-process welding quality.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and final products.
  • Complete First-Off Reports, Certificates of Compliance, PPAP documents, and inspection records as required.
  • Document and report non-conformances, assisting with root-cause investigation as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with welding personnel, production teams, and quality supervisors to support manufacturing requirements.

Skills

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a welding inspector or in a related manufacturing quality role.
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (CWB, AWS, or equivalent).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience using a wide range of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, including regular lifting and PPE use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
