Overview

The Level 3 IT Service Technician role is a senior technical resource responsible for managing complex escalations, infrastructure design, and delivery of advanced IT solutions across customer environments. You will lead projects, mentor junior staff members, and work hands-on within our system architecture, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and networking. This role is strategic, independent, and requires regular customer site visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead resolution of high-complexity technical incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions across customer sites.
  • Guide client infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and transformation projects.
  • Own responsibility for backups, patching, endpoint security, and system optimization.
  • Act as an escalation point for junior team members while providing leadership, education, and mentorship.
  • Create and maintain detailed environment documentation and SOP’s.
  • Participate in project scoping, solution design, technical reviews, and customer-facing discussions to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives through implementation of security controls, vulnerability remediation, backup validation, and adherence to security best practices.
  • Assist with technical presales opportunities by providing solution recommendations, effort estimates, and technical expertise during customer engagements.
  • Maintain ownership of assigned projects, escalations, and customer issues through to resolution, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience supporting and administering complex IT environments.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects and managing complex technical implementations and escalations.
  • Advanced knowledge of M365, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Advanced networking knowledge including routing, switching, VLAN's, VPN's, wireless technologies, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and customer engagements simultaneously.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to customer locations.
