Tantalum Mining Corporation (TANCO) owned by Sinomine (Hong Kong) Rare Metal Resources Co. Ltd. is a mining and manufacturing company located 60 kilometers Northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Job Summary

As a Mine Engineering Specialist at our company, you will collaborate with the Mine Operations Manager and other team members to implement and refine our mining operations. This role is ideal for those who excel in technical environments and are committed to operational excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development and execution of comprehensive mine planning, focusing on both long-term and short-term objectives.
  • Participate in diverse mine engineering tasks, including surveying, ventilation, dust control, and equipment management.
  • Support the creation of efficient mining layouts, ensuring alignment with production goals.
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to the optimization of ore extraction, incorporating room and pillar mining methods as applicable.
  • Advise on drilling and blasting methods for mining.
  • Perform routine environmental, noise, and gas emissions surveys to maintain workplace safety.
  • Evaluate mining equipment for performance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 five years of experience in mine engineering.
  • Degree in mine engineering or equivalent specific to planning and/or rock mechanics.
  • Strong understanding of environmental monitoring, mine ventilation, and especially room and pillar mining methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and mine planning software.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with a capability to collaborate closely with others.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
