What will you do: As Yukon Energy's Executive Director, Dam Safety & Chief Dam Safety Engineer, you will:
- Serve as Yukon Energy's senior technical authority for dam safety, providing independent engineering oversight and risk-informed advice to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Lead Yukon Energy's Dam Safety Program and Dam Safety Management System, ensuring alignment with Canadian Dam Association guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Oversee dam safety reviews, risk assessments, surveillance programs, emergency preparedness, and technical assurance activities supporting the safe operation of hydroelectric assets.
- Represent Yukon Energy before regulators, governments, Yukon First Nations, review boards, and technical panels on dam engineering and dam safety matters.
- Guide long-term dam safety strategy, asset management planning, rehabilitation programs, and capital investments that support the safe stewardship of critical hydroelectric infrastructure.

- Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, including significant experience in dam engineering, dam safety, hydroelectric infrastructure, or water-retaining structures.
- Demonstrated experience leading a Dam Safety Program, Dam Safety Management System, or equivalent dam safety portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of dam safety governance, risk assessment, inspections, monitoring programs, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian Dam Association (CDA) guidelines and industry best practices.
- Experience providing technical advice and recommendations to executive leadership, boards of directors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Assets:

- Experience as a Chief Dam Safety Engineer, Engineer of Record, Responsible Officer, Independent Review Board member, or similar senior dam safety leadership role.
