Full job description

We are looking for a Clinical Assessment Coordinator who has experience working in the Personal Injury field, specifically in the Canadian system in regards to motor vehicle accidents. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, making arrangements, preparing medical reports (training will be provided for our processes), and proactively managing calendars. You will maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact among employees, clients, and third parties
  • Attend meetings, take and distribute meeting minutes, assist in creation of meeting agenda
  • Devise ways to continuously improve team operations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of special projects as assigned
  • Utilize analytical skills to bring together appropriate resources to be supportive in addressing issues
  • Review the incoming correspondence and making notes
  • Refer, organize, and manage clients' medical assessments
  • Maintain a cloud database of medical information
  • Follow up with clients about their health, contact clinics/insurers/etc. to support clients/assessments
  • Create reports about assessments
  • Research, analyze, and disseminate medical and legal information (summaries for clinic records)
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned

Requirements

  • Medical experience 1 year minimum
  • Experience working in an Assessment Center that deals with MVAs under the Canadian system
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent prioritization, multi-task & time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player effective in interacting with all levels in the organization as well as work on your own
  • Knowledge of SABS
  • Previous MVA AB Claims experience
  • Wiliness to learn

Preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of another language
