Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Optometric Assistant/ Optician to join our team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for medical pre-testing, history taking, front desk, glasses selection and sales and assisting our doctors. Join our friendly team in advancing eye health and enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Eyewear Sales
  • Pre-testing, dispensing, reception and coordinating with team members
  • Repairing and adjusting patients’ eyewear
  • Medical testing including OCT scans, auto refraction, visual fields and corneal topography
  • Frame and lens selections

The Successful Candidate

  • Is passionate about customer experience and is a great communicator in the English language
  • Previous optometric/optical experience (please do not apply unless you have experience with optometric pretest OR glasses sales)
  • Has a flair for fashion and the latest style trends and is interested in glasses
  • Is committed to excelling as a member of a high-performing team
  • Is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Has good computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of Visual-eyes is an asset
  • Is able to work in Canada immediately
