Full job description

We are looking to hire a medical office assistant to our Regina Cornea clinic and lasik centre in Harbourlanding. Must be able to learn quickly and must have good computer skills. Experience working in a medical office is an asset.

Duties and responsibilities:

-Assist in patient’s’ registration, triage, and scheduling

-Assist in admin office work, including answering phone calls, and replying to emails and faxes in high volume clinic

-Record patients’ history, including ocular, past medical, previous surgeries, medications taken, and allergies

-Check visual acuity

-Instils eye drops, under doctor’s directions

-Measures and records intra-ocular pressure

-Preform various diagnostic testing

-Maintaining the office and office supplies

-Disinfects and maintains examination rooms and equipments

-Assist patients in completing forms

Minimum Qualifications:

-High school diploma

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Excellent computer skills

-Previous experience in medical clinics or healthcare is preferred

-Training will be provided

-Bonuses

-Extended Medical will be discussed

-Available car parking
