Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with medical and dental office procedures, electronic medical records, and multi-line phone systems. Prior experience with office management software such as Epic and Dentrix is highly desirable. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic medical records systems
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries, appointment requests, and general office communication
  • Collect patient payments and process billing transactions efficiently
  • Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including updating medical histories and collecting necessary documentation
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely flow of patient information and documentation
  • Handle administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant is preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Vagaro, Epic and Dentrix
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems in a busy office environment
  • Familiarity with office software including Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
  • Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is highly desirable
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
