Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This individual must be reliable, able to prioritze and multitask, have good communication skills, a team player and must have the ability to work in a fast paced enviroment. Applicants with experience is an asset but not necessary, will train the right individual.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients to examination rooms.
  • Manage incoming calls using phone systems, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently while considering the availability of healthcare providers.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) accurately, data entry, electronic filing, scanning, billing and invoicing.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Taking vitals, measurements, collecting specimens, preparing trays for procedures, sterilization of medical instruments.
  • Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing examination rooms and work stations
  • Communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
  • Administrative skills with experience in front desk operations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and team members alike.
