Dynamic Machine is currently accepting applications for a* energetic self-starters in the role of an experienced evening shift Manual Machinist* in our machining department.

The selected candidate will have at least 2 years experience or equivalent in manual machining. You will be working with lathes, mills, boring mill, grinders and align boring machines. This role will also observe machines and product output to detect malfunctions or irregularities and adjust the program as required to ensure quality of production is delivered due to customer specifications.

Duties of this position:

• Ability to study and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished projects, sequence of operations and set-up requirements.
• Build tools, jigs, fixtures and dies to fit customer specifications.
• Ability to measure parts and compare to tolerance to determine if the part is acceptable.
• Analyze parts to decide materials, time frame, and best machine to fix them.
• Test and tune new and existing tooling; including sharpening cutting tools while mindful of safety and quality standards.
• work within the scope of the projects to meet the customers expected delivery.
• Set your sequence of tasks and coordinate with others based on priorities as set out by leadership. drawings to determine product requirements (material, hardware, special processes).
• Experience with trouble shooting on tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret the machinist handbook/ instructions and processes/procedures.
• Accurate use of measuring tools is a must.
• Provide support to production and quality as required.
• Communicating and working within a cross functional team.
• Other duties as required by organizational demands.

This is a full-time position for Day shift candidate -Monday to Friday for 8 hours per day. Evening shift- 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtime may be required. Additional $1.00 for evening shift premium.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret blue prints
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong oral, written, and electronic communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of materials and processes in manufacturing
• Minimum 10 years related experience
