We Can Dig It — Experienced Excavator Operators Wanted

Southwest Excavation is a family-owned company with a strong reputation for quality work across agricultural, residential, and commercial projects. We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator with extensive excavator experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise operating excavators in a variety of applications, along with solid mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. Experience with additional equipment such as dozers, loaders, and backhoes is considered an asset.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while maintaining a strong focus on precision, productivity, and safety at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate heavy equipment with a primary focus on excavators, along with dozers, loaders, and backhoes, ensuring safe, precise, and efficient operation at all times.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform trenching and excavation for underground services
  • Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks.
  • Read and follow site drawings and elevations
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines.

What You Bring

  • Extensive, hands-on experience operating heavy construction equipment, with a strong emphasis on excavators, along with dozers, loaders, and backhoes.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is preferred.
  • Experience in construction sites or farm machinery operation is advantageous.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus.
  • Valid AZ driver's license preferred
  • Prior experience with heavy equipment operation in industrial or farm settings is highly desirable. This position requires a dedicated individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency on the job site.
