Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations. The Food Service Supervisor plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to maintain consistency and quality standards.
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
  • Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing potential staff, training new employees, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an overall positive dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health codes.
  • Assist in restaurant management tasks such as scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and implementing operational policies.
  • Support hospitality initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction through excellent service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality.
  • Supervising experience with team management skills including interviewing, training, and leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures; certification is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Previous experience working in restaurants or the food industry; hotel or barista experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays if required; a passion for hospitality is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
