Full job description

Established in 1988, DOM International is a food import and logistics company specializing in seafood, particularly salmon and value-added salmon products. We are passionate about providing excellent food quality and customer service to the marketplace. We are growing our team of like-minded individuals who share our vision.

We are currently looking for a material handler for our seafood-processing facility. This role is responsible for transporting materials into and out of production. The shift is Monday-Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities include

  • Coordinate required production inputs & outputs with supervisors
  • Transport production inputs and outputs
  • Maintain processing lift equipment
  • Assist with management of partial finished goods inventory and packaging inventory, including conducting cycle counts
  • Maintain, rotate, and replenish pick and storage locations
  • Assist with production line set-up, changeover, and teardown

Skills & qualifications

  • 1 year’s experience each with reach truck and walkie
  • Valid licenses: reach truck and walkie (asset)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a food production facility (asset)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing demands with short notice
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Trained in QMP and GMP
  • Able to lift 50 lb (asset)
  • Able to read and write English
