Gig Guys Production & Event Services – Stagehand (On-Call / Freelance Work – Toronto & Area)

WE ARE A PRODUCTION & EVENT SERVICES FREELANCE LABOUR COMPANY expanding our trusted network of skilled stagehands and techs. Based in Niagara and active across Ontario — including Toronto, Ottawa, and everything in between — we provide freelance crew for concerts, festivals, trade shows, and large-scale events.

We’re looking for qualified individuals who are:

• Dependable and punctual
• Experienced in live event setup and teardown
• Comfortable with physical labor, long shifts, and fast-paced environments
• Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends, early mornings)

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 3 years of steady experience with production companies or labor providers
• Own and wear steel-toe boots, hard hat, and high-visibility vest
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in variable weather conditions
• Reliable transportation in the Toronto and surrounding area
• Comfortable using our mobile app to accept or decline shift offers

Preferred Experience:

• Setup and teardown of staging, pipe & drape, audio/visual gear, barricades, truss, etc.
• Loading/unloading trucks, working with production teams and leads
• Knowledge of event production terminology and basic gear handling
• Experience in theatre, AV, corporate events, lighting, or sound is a major plus
• Familiarity with audio consoles (digital), lighting desks, video switchers, lifts, or rigging = bonus

Job Environment:

• Work is often fast-paced with changing priorities
• May be indoors or outdoors in all weather
• Environments may be noisy, hot, cold, dimly lit, or under show lighting
• Work may require being on ladders or platforms, or moving gear in tight spaces
