Overview

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection prevention and control standards.
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
  • Take and process digital radiographs (as permitted by certification).
  • Prepare dental materials and instruments for procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
  • Ensure operatories are stocked and organized.
  • Support smooth patient flow and deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Certified Dental Assistant (Level I or Level II) recognized in Ontario. Preference given to candidate with 6+ months experience.
  • Current HARP certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC) standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with dental practice management software is an asset.
