Dishwasher/Prep Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring a smooth food service operation. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and standards
• Cook food items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
• Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware promptly to ensure availability for ongoing service
• Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of shortages
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely meal service
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

• Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
• Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory for motivated learners
