Breakfast Cook

The Breakfast cook will be responsible for consistent preparation of the breakfast menu and some lunch menu items in accordance with Ace Hotel Food and Beverage specifications. Must adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Prepare Breakfast & lunch menu items according to Ace Hotel high quality standards and recipes as established by the Executive Chef.
2. Alter menu items to accommodate guests’ dietary needs as requested.
3. Communicate with co-workers when taking over and finishing each shift.
4. Maintain assigned stations throughout shifts, ensure par levels of ingredients and equipment are available.
5. Maintain prep work during shifts.
6. Work efficiently and multitask.
7. Work as a member in a team of line cooks to effectively and efficiently prepare each dish.
8. Keep the station clean before, during, and while closing each shift.
9. Use proper kitchen safety protocols in regards to food preparation (storage, transportation, preparation, etc.) and equipment usage.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Culinary arts education preferred, high school diploma required. Food Handler certification required.

*Minimum 1-2 years experience as a line/breakfast cook in a similar elevated environment is required.

**Experience in Events support is an asset
