Job description:

EARLY MORNING SHIFT starting 4:30AM to 1PM

30 MINUTES LUNCH NOT PAID

MUST HAVE EXPERIANCE UNLOADING LTL TRAILERS. (loader)

40+ hour weeks

POSITION: FORKLIFT DRIVER (LOADER)

CROSS DOCK

Starting date: As soon as possible

Hourly/yearly wage: To be discussed.

· Transport company in Dorval

Must have experience driving a forklift. (a loader is a Plus)

Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.

Demonstrated attention to detail.

Can at times be asked to provide physical work. (Lifting, wrapping skids and moving boxes, re-build skids if broken down)

Verify and note the count and condition of freight received.

Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, putting equipment away etc.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time.

Must be able to read and write English.

Basic math skills.

Ability to work overtime as required by the company.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

Operate forklift in a safe manner in all weather conditions and environments.

Load/unload freight onto/from trucks/bins using hand/power tools and/or equipment provided.

Ensure that proper paperwork is completed accurately on a daily basis.

Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and equipment daily

Entreprise de transport à Dorval cherche à embaucher pour la période de 4:30am-1pm

Vous devez avoir de l'expérience dans la conduite d'un chariot élévateur à fourche (chargeur).

Expérience en LTL ou cross docking est un avantage

Connaissance du chargement de remorques

Capacité à travailler avec un minimum de supervision

Bon sens de l'observation

Attention aux détails en vérifiant les palettes et les factures qui arrivent.

Peut parfois être appelé à faire un travail physique (soulever, emballer des palettes et déplacer des boîtes, reconstruire des palettes)

Vérifier et compter les pièces, les palettes et l'état des marchandises et prendre des annotations

Participer à diverses tâches d'entreposage, notamment balayer le plancher, ranger l'équipement, etc.

Shift availability:

1pm untill closing. (varies from 9pm-11:30pm) depending how busy the day is.
