Construction Sales & Estimating Specialist

Full-Time | In-Office and On-Site as Required | Burnaby, BC

RapidCrete Construction Ltd. is seeking a motivated Construction Sales & Estimating Specialist to join our growing team.

This position combines technical project review, estimating, client relationship management, site visits, proposal preparation, and business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in converting project opportunities into awarded work while helping clients find practical solutions to their construction challenges.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming project inquiries and identify potential opportunities.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather information.
• Review drawings, specifications, reports, and project requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, budgets, estimates, and proposals.
• Present solutions and pricing to clients.
• Follow up on quotations and negotiate project opportunities.
• Coordinate with operations and project teams during project handover.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, property managers, engineers, and owners.
• Attend networking events, industry meetings, and client presentations.
• Track opportunities and maintain organized project records.
• Support business development and sales initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have at least two years of Canadian construction estimating experience, as well as relevant experience in project coordination, project management, business development, engineering, or a related field. Applicants who do not meet these minimum requirements will not be considered.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, technical reports, and scopes of work.
• Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfortable conducting site visits and meeting with clients.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and business software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Required Experience

• Construction, concrete restoration, civil, structural, engineering, or general contracting experience.
• Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or technical submissions.
• Experience working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable reviewing a drawing package, visiting a project site, preparing a proposal, meeting with a client, and following up to secure the project.

Pay: CA$27.00 to CA$40.00 per hour, based on skills, experience, and demonstrated ability
