NO EXPERIENCE NECESSACARY & FULL TRAINING PROVIDED w a CLASS 5 DRIVERS but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, a clean driver abstract & adaptable to change are all a must for this position

Job requirements/duties:

HQLC Torpedo Ltd. provides grease cleaning services to restaurants in Edmonton and surrounding area. It is important to flush/steam kitchen & sanitary lines properly to prevent grease build up and/or resulting costly sewer back ups. THIS POSITION WILL ALSO include other vacuum truck related duties: Scheduled GT cleanings, GT replacements, plugged line resolution/snaking, cleaning of sumps, manhole/catch basin maintenance services

Someone in this position must be able to handle odors & strenuous labor and still do the job with quality & integrity. A dirty job does not need to be without standards.

There is a significant amount of driving involved, you must have a clean drivers abstract of Class 5 or better and be able to drive large vehicles (cube van/3 Ton) safely and conscientiously

  • Troubleshoot & problem solve to repair grease trap issues or line issues

  • Be able to work very early mornings
  • Be geographically familiar with navigating the City of Edmonton & Surrounding areas
  • Use optimal safe work procedures, adhere to safety policies & procedures while on customer sites and when preforming work on Stony Shop site
  • Report to a Service Manager
  • Be able to deal with constantly changing environments (Restaurant kitchens & employees, property site parking lots & facility buildings)
  • Able to adapt to change as jobs change, are added, moved, or canceled as a shift progresses
  • Do efficient, quality work while courteously interacting with employees on site
  • Efficient written & verbal customer service skills
  • Measure & Record information on logs for clients
  • Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or other related field would be an asset but not a must

Shifts vary depending on when the restaurants want their services done. Training will be done on the early morning shift (Approximately 3/4AM-12PM) but may need to fill mid-day shift (Approximately 1PM-9PM). Shifts may go later and/or start earlier

Again, the person in this position must be extremely flexible.

Pay Scale:

Pay $24 - $28/hour to START; raises based on work ability

Full-time, Permanent

Must be able to be on call 1-2 weekends per month for emergency services

Bonuses/incentives:

Based on a blend of team & individual performance

We provide a RRSP matching program, after one year of employment we will match a portion of RRSP contributions

After 1 year employment we provide 5% payment of your mortgage. This increases every year by 5% up to 25% after 5 years (mortgage maximum $2000)
