Criminal Lawyer

We are seeking a lawyer with strong advocacy skills and a clear inclination toward courtroom work, someone comfortable on their feet and confident advancing their client’s position. Equally important are effective negotiation skills and the judgment to guide clients through high-stakes circumstances with clarity and control. We offer hands-on training in a collegial environment, unified by a single objective: securing the best possible outcomes for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A passion for criminal litigation.
  • A licenced lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting trials, contested hearings, and applications.
  • Carriage of files from inception and pre-litigation through to resolution, by trial or otherwise and dealing with multiple existing ongoing files.
  • Draft and review documents, including correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and hearing documents.
  • Conduct and review legal research.
  • Meet directly and remotely with clients and other lawyers.
  • Attend court in-person or remotely as required.
  • Preparation of various legal documents relevant to litigation (Charter Applications, Evidence Applications).

Requirements:

  • L1 Licence in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Valid Ontario "G" class driver’s licence and your own vehicle.
