Family Lawyer (2–3 Years' Experience)

Location: Etobicoke, Ontario

About Noori Law:

Noori Law is a boutique, growing Family Law practice dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation headed by Hind Noori who has years of experience practicing exclusively in Family Law.

As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated Family Lawyer to join our team, with 2–3 years of experience practicing family law in Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants to build a long-term career in a supportive, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Hind Noori, and support staff, for an opportunity to receive mentorship on a wide range of family law matters with a practice having a healthy balance between litigation and settlement focused matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a family law caseload from intake through resolution.
  • Represent clients in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice.
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, motions, conference briefs, and settlement documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare Factums.
  • Attend case conferences, settlement conferences, motions, mediations, and trials, as required.
  • Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.
  • Provide practical, strategic, and compassionate legal advice to clients.
  • Maintain accurate file management and meet all court deadlines.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues on complex matters and file strategy.
  • Build and sustain strong, professional client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
  • 2–3 years of experience practicing family law in Ontario.
  • Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act, Divorce Act, Family Law Rules, and relevant case law.
  • Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple files independently.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe.
  • Professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach.
  • Experience with Divorcemate and Cosmolex is considered an asset.
