Full job description

Client-focused law firm with a casual, supportive and collaborative environment.

Some key responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Prepare and review standard real estate documents (purchase/sale agreements, mortgage/financing documents, title searches, trust letters, closing packages).
  • Communicate with clients, realtors, lenders, and opposing counsel to gather information, provide updates, and coordinate key dates.
  • Open and organize files, maintain checklists, and handle general administrative support for the lawyer throughout each transaction.
  • Manage closing administration, including drafting final reports, coordinating signing appointments, preparing trust ledgers, handling funds, and submitting documents to Land Titles.

Experience:

  • 1+ year of experience in a Real Estate Legal Assistant/Conveyancing position.
  • Experience with legal accounting software. Familiarity with Unity conveyancing software considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of billing, preparing cheques, and handling trust transactions is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation, data entry, and file management.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Clear and professional communication, client-service mindset, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small-firm setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
