Job Overview

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, English, and early childhood education.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and respect among students.
  • Use effective teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, including experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs.
  • Assess student progress regularly through observations, assignments, and assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues to discuss student development and tailor instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Incorporate technology tools such as Microsoft Office applications and other computer skills to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Manage classroom organization efficiently through strong time management and organizational skills, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Support tutoring sessions or additional learning activities to reinforce core concepts in subjects like Math or writing skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience in elementary Schools.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable; ability to communicate effectively in both languages is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and connect with young learners.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of teaching methodologies suitable for early childhood education and special education needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and basic computer skills for lesson planning and administrative tasks.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education requirements is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Writing skills necessary for preparing reports, lesson plans, and communication with parents or guardians.
