Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our team and create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' early education experience.

Our Kindergarten program is full-day and with an average of 15 children per room. Many students have been through our Junior Kindergarten program and are familiar with our school. Our Kindergarten students are exposed to many exciting subjects (taught by specialists), in addition to the core subjects, that keep them engaged all day long.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the kindergarten curriculum

- Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning

- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students in various subjects including Math, English, and other educational activities

- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet individual needs

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student's progress and behavior

- Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences

Skills

- Strong time management skills to plan and organize classroom activities effectively

- Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues

- Proficiency in computerized teaching tools and educational software

- Experience working with children in a classroom setting

- Proficient in Math, English, and other relevant subjects

Qualifications

- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

- Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education

Term

10 month contract (September to June)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
