Job Summary:
We are looking for a confident energetic leader who is committed to the vision, mission & values of TBMSB. The successful candidate will report directly to the TBMSB board to inform, execute, and deliver results in alignment with the strategy, direction, goals and objectives of the organization. They will be responsible for nourishing healthy & productive relationships with all key stakeholders. They will manage finance, risk, safety and compliance matters with a view to both short-term and long-term sustainability. They will deploy a responsive and multi-faceted branding, advertising and marketing approach to boost registrations, and enhance uptake and accessibility of the program for all children in the community.

They will uphold excellence in administration and directly engage, recruit, develop, and manage teaching and non-teaching talent for the organization. They will uphold high standards of both academic and religious education for our premier institution, and work closely with talent to provide regular oversight and direction for consistent execution of curriculum and lesson plans. They will identify opportunities for growth and development for the organization, including advocating for human, physical and digital resources, as well as infrastructure upgrades when necessary. They will ensure appropriate maintenance of buildings, utilities, materials, technologies, and services as necessary to ensure the smooth and productive operation of the school.

The ideal candidate will have a balanced philosophy, a soft mannerism, a fun demeanor, and a sensitive approach to others. They must adhere first and foremost to teachings of Quran & Sunnah, acting as an ideal role model for students and staff. The will be expected to complete any education and training assigned to them. As a leader of the school, the work may include both onsite and off-site responsibilities, and extended hours or weekends may be required as circumstances dictate. Flex time to accommodate these needs may be possible at the discretion of the Board of Directors of TBMSB. TBMSB reserves the sole right to modify the responsibilities if and when required.

What are we looking for:

  • 2-3 years of academic teaching experience and administrative/leadership experience.
  • A trusted and influential presence in the industry and/or the community.
  • Ability to manage effectively and energize teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • A record of working with stakeholders for internal, regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Completed Masters degree or similar qualification from a reputable institution.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Experience in teaching or admin roles in Canadian and/or Islamic schools.
  • B.Ed., OCT, PQP, M.Ed. or PhD., or willingness and ability to pursue these credentials.
  • Excellent communication ability, problem-solving skills, and digital proficiency.
  • Interests, experience, or credentials overlapping with other available job postings.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification, and/or similar from a reputable body.
