Do you know what a server rack and cabinet is? Have you worked in the ICT industry serving IT, Security and Data markets? Do you have great relationships with distributors, contractors and end-users? The Rack Mounting Solutions division of Hammond wants a self-disciplined, self-driven, and highly motivated Territory Sales Manager within the Greater Toronto Area, supporting other parts of Ontario as needed.

We are looking for a candidate that resides in the GTA that have prior relationships in the area. Someone from an existing distributor or vendor is preferred.

You will be responsible for seeking new business prospects by establishing relationships with prospective clients, developing specifications with engineers, presenting product, and supporting sales and marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate will have great communication and negotiation talents, as well as a track record of success in sales. In addition, data center and rack mounting solutions skills would be highly valued. This role requires a significant amount of windshield time and travel and will help cover company events outside their area.

Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively pursue new market business opportunities.
  • Reach prospective customers via cold calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Determine client requirements and recommend suitable products/services.
  • Educate engineers and specification decision-makers about products and industry standards.
  • Assist field sales representatives with product and value training.
  • Participate in industry events such as trade exhibitions, conferences, and golf tournaments while exhibiting products and communicating with potential customers.
  • Provide training and product demonstrations for customers and partners.
  • Work with product development teams and provide customer input on product features and functionality based on the customer's requirements.
  • Stay current on market trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance our technical product offerings.
  • Establish long-lasting, trustworthy customer relationships.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or in a comparable position.
  • Practical knowledge of numerous sales strategies (including cold calls).
  • Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, teams.
  • Knowledge of sales performance indicators.
  • Proficient in communication and negotiating.
  • Capable of delivering captivating presentations.
  • Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure standards and best practices, including cabling, fiber optics, and wireless technologies.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to operate individually and in a team, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • A BSc or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline is desired but not required.
  • RCDD certification is desired but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
