Site Supervisor

Frontier Homes Quinte is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor. We are a custom home builder that specializes in design and new home construction. We are a small team of trusted and experienced people that provide a truly personal approach to creating and building our clients their dream home. Founded in 2016, we strive to build homes we would live in.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with 40 hours per week (somewhat flexible); competitive hourly wages, benefits, and vacation pay. The job is based out of Belleville with travel to jobsites throughout the Quinte area. Drivers’ License and transportation required.

We are looking for an individual who:

• Is detail oriented and knowledgeable of building codes and construction safety regulations

Responsibilities:

• Primary focus is to supervise and execute construction projects through planning, scheduling, and organizing the project; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and team members.
• Ensure that work is completed on-time and to company standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Complying with and enforcing the Ontario Building Code and safety regulations.
• Manage tool and materials inventory for the project.
• Site maintenance and preparation/participation in site inspections.
• Ordering and picking up equipment and supplies as needed.
• Able to work safely while multi-tasking throughout the day.
• Ensure work performed is complete according to specifications.
• Accept other job responsibilities as assigned and as needed from time to time, including small tasks on site and, assisting others when they are overwhelmed and busy, or when there is an urgent task.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• College diploma or university degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering or related field is considered to be an asset
• Proven experience working as a site supervisor
• CPR and First-Aid Certifications
• Knowledge of and experience with hand/power tools
• Carpentry skills such as wood framing, trimming, flooring installation, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and plans
• Thorough understanding of how to use phone and cloud file systems

Schedule:

• 40 hour work week
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability on occasion

Wages/Salary:

• Pay depends on abilities and experience
• Company truck and credit card supplied
