Job Title: Site Superintendent

Location: Calgary, AB

About the Role

Beacon Technical Builders is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for one of our upcoming projects. This individual will be a key leader on-site, responsible for ensuring the project is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

With over 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial, industrial, and/or infrastructure construction, the successful candidate will bring strong leadership, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence. You’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, tradespeople, and clients to drive performance and ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead site operations, supervising field crews, subcontractors, and trades to ensure project milestones are met.

Enforce compliance with Beacon’s health and safety standards, as well as all applicable OH&S regulations.

Maintain control of the construction schedule, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are adhered to.

Coordinate delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment to optimize productivity.

Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building codes to guide work and resolve site issues.

Conduct site meetings with internal teams and external partners to track progress and communicate updates.

Develop and maintain daily and weekly reporting, documenting inspections, delays, and progress.

Foster strong relationships with suppliers, clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a Site Superintendent or similar supervisory role on construction projects.

Industry-related trade certification or a combination of experience and education in construction management.

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, safety compliance, building codes, and quality control.

Proven track record of successfully delivering projects in a leadership role.

Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to coordinate multiple teams under pressure.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with project scheduling software is an asset.

Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions

This is a site-based position in Calgary, Alberta. Travel to local project sites may be required.

Must be willing to work in outdoor conditions and manage a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment.
