Job Summary

As a Restoration Technician, you play an integral role assisting us in maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality service with our clients. You are on the front lines whenever disaster strikes and represent the DKI brand with job site management and quality customer service. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively utilize hand and power tools to clean, restore, and rebuild damaged areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Work with Project Managers and other field team members in assessing and processing flood and fire damage
- Use moisture testing equipment and proper scoping techniques to layout drying protocols and moisture mapping plans
- Organize and arrange appropriate equipment and materials needed to mitigate damages
- Communicate, direct and delegate tasks to field labourers
- Manage and maintain site documentation; such as photos, authorization forms, timesheets, and more.
- Ensure site protection is installed properly
- Organize and run jobs in a resourceful and time efficient manner
- Practice on the job safety and encourage safety among the team
- Install, operate and maintain all equipment safely and adhere to manufacturer's guidelines
- Take asbestos samples and deliver specimen to the lab
- Any and all other duties as may be required from time to time
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiar with hand-held tools and equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- The ability to handle a regular physical workload, and lift at least 50lbs
- A driver’s license, with a clean driving record
Education & Experience
- At least 2 years of existing experience in emergency property restoration and remediation
- IICRC Certifications (either Completed or In Progress): WRT, FSRT, AMRT
- Excellent working knowledge of insurance industry
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to navigate technology and mobile devices with ease

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
