Nick Carchidi Excavating Limited was founded in 2002 and is a fast growing General Contracting company in Heavy Civil Construction. We specialize in the areas of sewer, watermain, road reconstruction, general contracting/project management, site development for industrial, commercial and residential applications, parking lots, land clearing, septic systems, excavation and much more. We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the role of:

Project Manager / Coordinator – Heavy Civil Construction

The position we are seeking to fill involves a range of responsibilities that are crucial for the successful execution of civil engineering projects.

Key duties and skills required for this position:

Project Planning and Scheduling: Coordinating project activities and resources, while ensuring timelines are adhered to.

Communication and Liaison: Acting as a liaison between clients, contractors and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed and working together collaboratively.

Document Control: Maintain detailed records of all aspects of the project, including Purchase Orders, Subcontract Agreements, RFI’s and Change Orders.

Procurement and Logistics: Manage permit applications and traffic control plans, ensuring all necessary approvals are secured prior to project commencement.

Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential delays and implement corrective measures when necessary to manage risks throughout the project.

It is preferred that the ideal candidate has 3-5 years of heavy civil experience and a solid understanding of heavy civil engineering principles. They should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Proficiency in computer systems and project manager software is also preferred. Compensation based on experience.
