We are a women led business that believes every detail matters.We are now looking for a Pastry Cook to join our opening team and help bring our pastry and dessert program to life.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves baking, detail, and creating pastries that feel both elegant and soulful.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts following Lavinia’s recipes and presentation standards
- Support production of laminated doughs, batters, fillings, and creams
- Ensure consistency in quality, texture, and flavour across all baked goods
- Organize daily mise en place, prep lists, and production schedules
- Monitor ovens, proofers, and temperatures with precision
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the pastry area
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily production and service
- Assist in seasonal menu development and new product trials
Skills and Attributes
- Passion for pastry, baking, and craftsmanship
- Strong sense of precision, timing, and organization
- Attention to visual detail and presentation
- Calm and collaborative under pressure
- Curious and eager to learn new techniques
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a bakery, pâtisserie, or restaurant pastry department
- Knowledge of baking science, doughs, creams, and decoration techniques
- Experience with ovens, mixers, and pastry production equipment
- Food Safe Level 1 (required)
- Availability on weekends and early mornings
