Movac Mobile Vacuum Services, is seeking experienced, reliable, and professional Operators – Sand Frac B-Train to join the Movac Team! Our team provides safe and efficient fluid services for both construction and oilfield drilling and completion projects.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Field Supervisor and Operations Manager, the Operator – Sand Frac B-Train's primary responsibility is to load frac sand and deliver it to the designated sites. This position is a representative of the Company and therefore has the responsibility to represent the Company and fellow employees professionally while performing duties at customer job sites.
This position is required to be on call 24 hours a day and may be dispatched to locations in Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan. Travel is required and may result in an individual being away from their primary residence for extended periods to perform this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives and operates units at various client sites
- Performs proper pre and post-trip inspections
- Performs all work safely and completes all required safety paperwork
- Follows Movac’s Standard Operating Procedures
- General mechanical maintenance of the unit
- Maintains required documentation (daily logbook, pre/post trips, pre-job hazard assessments, etc.)
HSE & Compliance
- Following the safe work procedures when arriving at a worksite, throughout the duration of the worksite, and when leaving the worksite
- Adhering to and practicing safe work habits, beginning with reading, understanding, and implementing all aspects of the Movac HSE Manual
- Observing the hazards of the worksite upon arrival, wearing safety protective gear while performing the job, and observing worksite-specific safety protocol
- Conducting regular safety checks and required maintenance on the unit while at the worksite
- Participating fully in job observations, near miss and hazard ID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards
- Ensuring the unit and well site trailer (if applicable) are operating safely and efficiently while out on a worksite location
- Performing preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Worksite tools are accounted for on a regular basis
- Following the “Emergency Response Plan” in emergency situations/accidents/incidents
- Responsible for following all regulations pertaining to this position: Highway Traffic Act, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and worksite-specific rules and regulations – hard hat areas, non-smoking areas etc.
- Maintaining the appropriate paperwork as required by regulations and management to ensure regulations are being followed
Experience and Competencies
- Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement
- Must hold valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED, H2S Alive and CSO Certificates
- Complete all required Movac and Client Orientations
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a similar position
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and safety checks on trucks and equipment
- Ability to understand and implement Movac’s HSE program
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
- A motivated individual with an uncompromising commitment to safety
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
