Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate submissions to regulatory bodies for various project developments
- Determine required information for application submissions
- Track development applications, approvals, permits, agreements, and supporting documentation with municipal, regional, and external agencies
- Co-ordinate securities and clearances with municipal staff and agencies
- Co-ordinate site milestone approvals (i.e. SPA, Registration, SDA, Assumption)
- Coordinate requirements for site assumption
- Maintain conduit of planning information with Regional, Municipal, Provincial and Federal agencies
- Act as the key contact to stakeholders for land development projects until assumption
- Manage relationships and interface on a regular basis with engineers, contractors, architects, and colleagues on a variety of projects
- Maintain project scheduling
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and tracking of development budgets and project-related expenditures throughout the development lifecycle
- Assist in due diligence processes
- Attend required meetings pertaining to projects’ development
- Record and distribute meeting minutes to project stakeholders
- Be willing to travel and attend council or committee meetings as required
- Maintain and organize project information, digital records, and hard-copy documentation
About you:
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and time management skills
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency
- Experience in urban planning and/or civil engineering with demonstrated knowledge of projects (ideally low-rise development)
- Working knowledge of the Ontario land development process approvals and municipal regulations
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build rapport with stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 2-5 years of relatable experience
- Relevant Post Secondary education in urban planning or civil engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Project (or similar)
- This position requires the successful candidate to maintain a valid class G drivers license
Compensation based on experience
