East Design House is a high-end residential interior design firm based in Toronto’s East End. We specialize in construction-focused and large-scale renovation projects, as well as interior decorative finishing that transforms homes into beautifully curated spaces.

We’re a busy, creative, and passionate team—and we’re looking for a Design Team Assistant who is ready to roll up their sleeves and grow with us.

About the Role
This is an administrative and project support role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a dynamic design firm. You’ll work closely with our design and operations teams to keep projects moving smoothly behind the scenes. This is not a creative or technical design role, though a basic understanding of design is a definite asset. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is organized, hungry to learn, and eager to prove themselves.

What You'll Do

Project & Admin Support

• Help the team stay organized by keeping project documents, schedules, samples, and client materials up to date
• Support the handoff between the design team and operations team by preparing detailed internal documents and tracking FF&E items
• Coordinate and follow up with vendors, trades, and showrooms for pricing, samples, and lead times
• Keep track of project timelines and proactively flag any delays or missing pieces
• Prepare meeting materials, assist in presentation prep, and help organize design boards and binders
• Provide support during on-site installations (think styling, carrying light items, documenting missing pieces, etc.)

Optional/Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Help create or edit AutoCAD drawings or presentation files if you have technical ability
• Support custom furniture drawings or layout reviews if you have prior CAD experience

• You’re a strong communicator and comfortable working with both creative and operations teams
• You’re excited about being part of a high-end design firm, even if you’re not doing the actual design work
• You’re looking for a place to learn and grow—and are genuinely ready to work hard and contribute
• You have a driver’s license and are comfortable traveling around the GTA to showrooms and job sites when needed

Bonus If You Have

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (not required, but helpful!)
• Experience working in a design studio or showroom
• A degree or diploma in design, project coordination, or a related field
