Work Arrangement: Full-time, In-office – core hours 8 am – 5 pm.
Compensation: $45,000-55,000 annually, eligibility for 5% performance bonus

About the Role
Tilt Wall Ontario is looking for a Junior Estimator to join its preconstruction team.
This is an entry-level role for someone looking to build a career in construction estimating. You will work closely with experienced team members to learn how to review drawings, complete quantity takeoffs, and support the development of accurate project estimates.
You are analytical and detail-oriented. Success comes from producing accurate, consistent work and taking the time to fully understand each project. As you build that foundation, this role is designed to grow with you into a full Estimator position over time.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Takeoff
· Assist with quantity takeoffs from drawings and models
· Review drawings to identify scope, quantities, and potential risks
· Support the development of project estimates and budgets
· Help prepare pricing breakdowns and proposals
Subcontractor & Supplier Pricing
· Assist with soliciting quotes from trades and suppliers
· Compare pricing and identify gaps or inconsistencies
· Support the creation of bid leveling documents
Estimate Accuracy & Cost Tracking
· Track estimated vs. actual quantities and costs
· Flag discrepancies and support cost validation
· Maintain accurate pricing data for future estimates
Project & Team Support
· Set up estimate files and maintain documentation
· Assist with change orders and project handoff
· Support coordination between estimating, design, and construction teams
Qualifications
· Education in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is an asset
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PDF tools, and construction software (Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD)
· Experience or exposure to construction drawings and quantity takeoffs
· Analytical with high attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
· Clear communicator who works well with internal team members, suppliers, and subcontractors
· Hands-on construction experience is an asset
Compensation
· $45,000-55,000 annually
