Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will also be involved in the installation of solar energy systems, helping our customers transition to sustainable, renewable energy sources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position will primarily involve out-of-town assignments, however when in-town work is available, you'll have the chance to contribute locally as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, outlets, lighting, and electrical equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs as needed
• Install and maintain solar power systems, including solar panels and inverters, for residential and commercial projects
• Ensure all installations comply with the safety and code requirement of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Perform regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality
• Collaborate with other trades and team members on electrical and solar projects
• Provide accurate documentation of work performed, including time, materials, and safety compliance
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Mentor apprentices and junior electricians, providing guidance and training as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Provincial Journeyman Electrician License.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with teammates and clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
• Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
• Ability to work out of town.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Journeyman Electrician: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Drivers Licence (required)
