Journeypersons & Apprentices Ironworkers

To work at our BHP Potash Mine Project in Jansen, Saskatchewan.

• SALARY: $34.30 - $49.00
• BENEFITS: 3% Pension & 3% RRSP + CLAC Benefits
• OVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day
• LOA: N/A
• TRAVEL: Travel allowance provided
• ACCOMMODATIONS: Camp
• START DATE: ASAP
• SCHEDULE: 14 days on 7 days off
• HOURS PER DAY: 11.5
• PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
• SHIFT: 14/7
• DURATION: 6 Months

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Ironworkers ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Must have experience working at heights
• Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills written and verbal
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions

Responsibilities:

• Ornamental work and pre-cast structures on a variety of projects
• Studies blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the lay out of work
• Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts using simple torque and hand wrenches
• Rigging - Attach cables from a crane and direct crane operators with hand signals and/or radio
• Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
• Know, understand, and operate grinders safely in accordance with safe work practices and procedures
• Ability to recognize spool hoisting point and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals while working in a fast-paced environment
• May perform other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $49.00 per hour
